The GIS Institute is an intensive two-week course focused on visualization, management, and analysis of geographic data.

The S4-administered doctoral certificate in Spatial Analysis is flexibly structured in order to meet the needs of Ph.D. students across all disciplines at Brown who have an interest in developing their spatial analysis skills.

S4 affiliated faculty offer a wide range of graduate courses in spatial thinking, research applications, and spatial analysis.

S4 offers specialized workshops periodically throughout the academic year, and these are occasionally co-sponsored with allied academic units.
