Biography

Dr. Jue Yang is a health geographer and spatial data scientist in the Social Epidemiology Lab at Brown University School of Public Health. Her research examines how built and natural environments shape children’s health, mobility, and health equity. She uses GIS, remote sensing, GPS data, street-view imagery, and GeoAI methods to measure environmental exposures such as greenspace. Her work aims to inform healthier and more equitable urban planning, environmental policy, and public health practice.
